Ten Is Too Many!
When Julie doesn’t show up for school, her school bus decides to go looking for her. Things don’t go as planned when Walter is pulled over by Officer Brady and her motorcycle. Unable to find Julie before it gets dark, Walter realizes things aren’t as bad as he imagined. He overcomes his worries as the story builds to a happy conclusion.
PARENTS:
This book is about friendship, dealing with worrying and making good decisions. To make sure I am sending the right message about how children can deal with anxieties, I based Walter’s reactions on Psychologist Lawrence J. Cohen’s book, The Opposite of Worry: the playful parenting approach to childhood anxieties and fears.
